Lumar rescued our bathroom remodel after our first contractor did a shoddy job and left things half way done before going out of business.
Luis and his team did excellent work, on schedule, and on budget. Luis was always very responsive and contacted me immediately whenever a decision was needed on something. The team was also very respectful of the rest of our house, making sure to put drop clothes over carpet and cleaning up after themselves every day.

I’ve worked with Lumar Builders and Luis on several remodeling projects for my home, including flooring, patio, and bathroom upgrades. Each time, the work has been excellent. Luis really listens to what you need, creates a clear plan, and delivers on time. His experience and professionalism give you confidence the project will turn out right.

Luis and his team may be small, but they are very accommodating, skilled, and respectful. They pay attention to detail, communicate clearly, and handle challenges with practical solutions.

Lumar Builders were charged with my bathroom renovations. The design was done by a separate project management company, and the original contractors they had lined up didn't work out before the project started; fortunately Lumar Builders were available to step in. From start to finish, communication was clear and Luis always made sure to communicate the project schedule. Whatever was under Luis/Lumar Builder's domaine, it was always completed in the time they said they would (weather and holidays allowing).

Most notably, the level of craftsmanship and crafsmen they brought in was excellent. People often asked me how I found them and who did the tiling in my bathrooms. We had an unknown electric issue that affected our bathroom renovation, as well as a need to update our electric panel very quickly to make sure inspections went through, and that we can end the project in a timely manner.

Billing was also very straight forward, electronic, with payment options.

I also hired them for other smaller projects around the house, that the original bathroom project didn't include. This include the beautiful bathroom doors and frame, also, a storage shed in the Shed in the back. My partner insisted on trying on his own, and after struggling, we caved in and hired Lumar Builder's team for 2 hours to help us. In the end the bathrooms and storage shed became selling points when it was time to sell our condo. I could proudly display our renovated bathrooms on the listing as well 🙂 I could only find one of the bathroom photos, but you can see the tile work clearly here.

They are a family company, and very hard working and professional. My neighbors ended up asking me who completed my bathroom project - I'm sure they are busy enough with clients, but I hope this review was helpful to anyone who may be considering Lumar Builders Inc for your home renovations and projects in the Bay Area.

I can recommend Lumar Builders without reservation!! They renovated my major bathroom from demolition to completion. I absolutely love the final result and it has transformed my whole condo. Wow, I am super thankful and beyond happy with Lumar Builders. They showed up every day on time with happy faces and ready to work. The whole crew was extremely professional. I am floored by the job they did. My kitchen and bathroom are unrecognizable, in the best way. Both now look very modern and look brand new - they truly captured my dream kitchen.
